Last night we had a scheduled run. 27 minutes. We ran on the treadmill at the Y. I ran at a 4.0mp or above the entire time, which I had never done before. I finish 2.1 miles in 32 minutes (that included the 5 minute warm up walk). I'm so excited to run 2 full miles!
I'm going to meet a couple of daycare providers today. I don't think the babysitter I have right now is a good fit for Elliott. When I picked her up yesterday, her babysitter said that they were having a few issues with her throwing lots of fits and her husband said he can't handle it. I asked if I needed to make other arrangements for her and she said that I didn't, but if I could try to work with her on throwing fits. I'm not sure what to do because she doesn't really throw fits with me. There was an incident a few months back where I wanted to look for other care also. I was dropping Elliott off in the morning and she was having a bad morning and started to cry when I left. The husband said "Elliott, knock it off!" pretty forcefully. I wanted to find other care then, but Paul said that he thought I was overreacting. It's nothing personal, but I just don't think it seems like the providers, or Elliott, seem happy.
I'm going to meet with a couple of people today. I wish I could put her in traditional day care, but we just cannot afford $700 a month that it costs for that.
I seem to be striking out in this department. From 0-6 months old, she stayed with Paul's sister, but she became a little unreliable. Then she stayed at another baby sitter from 6-12 months, then she decided to open a separate business and could no longer care for her. Then my mom moved up here and kept her from 12-16 months before she moved back to Oklahoma. She's been with this babysitter since August. I just seems like she is switching caregivers every six months and I don't think that's good for her. I just hope we can find someone who works out for the long term.
2 Miles at 4.0 Is AWESOME!!!!!!! Great job!
